The Drop Bear Foundation
Cheryl Cosham
The Drop Bear Foundation started in 2012 following the death of Cheryl Cosham.
Cheryl was sadly killed in Los Angeles in 2008, aged just 22.
As her dad, I decided to setup a Foundation that would support children and their families in her memory.
The name the "Drop Bear Foundation" came about following a trip to Centre Parcs in the UK. Cheryl was about five years old at the time we told her Drop Bears lived in the trees and they came down to the ground sometimes, she watched for them each time we went out and held my hand tightly whilst looking up at the trees, it still makes us smile to this day.
Cheryl was killed whilst protecting a child in her care and therefore as a lasting tribute to her we have decided to continue her lead and support children and their families.
We do not raise money from external sources all funds are from personal investments.
